We shorten the journey of Czech ingredients from field to plate

For dozens of Aramark restaurants across the Czech Republic, we purchase fresh seasonal ingredients from local farmers and growers. A few hours after harvest, we prepare our specially developed recipes. This reduces the carbon footprint by up to 30% while also supporting the local economy.

Why eat seasonally?

It’s natural

Our ancient ancestors commonly consumed seasonal fruits and vegetables because they had almost no means of preservation. Seasonal foods are natural for our body, which is accustomed to life and conditions in our climate zone.

You’ll be healthier

Seasonal fruits and vegetables contain a range of important nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that the body needs in those months. Imported foods lose a large portion of nutrients due to artificial ripening and long storage.

You’ll enjoy it

Seasonal foods that have just ripened in the sun are juicy, fresh, fragrant, and have a more pronounced taste. In contrast, fruits and vegetables from abroad are harvested unripe. During artificial ripening in trucks or so-called ripening rooms, they lose their taste.

You protect the planet

Products that do not travel halfway across the planet have a much lower carbon footprint. The need for long storage, ripening, cooling, etc., is eliminated. We can also contribute to the fight to save the climate of our planet.

You save money

If we buy fruits and vegetables when they naturally grow and are abundant, the final price will be much more favorable. This way, we can easily save money, which is never enough.

You support locals

By eating seasonally, we support domestic agriculture, farmers, local growers, and also breeders. Our economy will thus grow, and we will all be a little better off.
